Finish Strong Friday ~ Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens. Finish your week with a strong, positive attitude.
November first is known as Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, in Mexico and Latin America. This is a holiday and unique tradition celebrated by families every year to honor the lives of their deceased relatives. The traditions are filled with rich cultural meaning such as the building of altars with offerings of food, music, and dance.
All week, ASB is having a drive to benefit Children's Hospital and NoHo Home Alliance. you can drop off goods to the drop boxes in the foyer at the main entrance, or use the QR codes given to you at Muir Time. QR codes are also located on posters outside of the school, or you can see Mrs. Dorsey in room 513 for a flyer. Please consider giving a blanket or peanut butter and jelly to NoHo Home Alliance or some arts and crafts to Children's Hospital. Both organizations have clear guidelines about donations on their websites that can be accessed by using the QR codes. Thank you for supporting our community, Mustangs!
