What is the Fundraising Committee?
The John Muir Fundraising Committee (JMFC) is an organization committed to enriching the educational experience for Muir students.
The JMFC is a separate entity from the PTSA and its fundraising supports different programs and improvements for Muir.
Chairpersons
The current Board for the JMMS Fundraising Committee:

Janet Chong, Committee Clerk
Esther Kim, Committee Finance Chair
Meeting dates for the 2024-2025 school year will be provided in August.
Meetings are from 2-3:00 pm in the Conference Room in the Main Office.
Who can Join the Fundraising Committee?
Anyone interested in becoming involved with fundraising is welcome to join. We are always looking for new ideas and faces to help us raise funds for JMMS. Come to a meeting to join!
Where do Fundraising Committee dollars go?
Here is a partial list of what our JMFC has helped fund:
- Auditorium improvements
- Many teacher requests and projects – supplies, events and speakers
- John Muir Service Day
- Shakespeare Day
- Japan Day
- Student Clubs Requests Special Requests
- And More...

Donations
We need your donations, every dollar counts! To keep current programs and improvements our goal is for each family to donate $40. Whatever you can give will help! Your tax-deductible donation will help to ensure that these activities continue at Muir.
Volunteers
We need volunteers to make events and activities a success for our students and families. If you are interested in Volunteering, please click on the volunteer button and we will add you to the list to be contacted when we need help.
IMPORTANT: All volunteers must complete the Volunteer paperwork required by BUSD to become a cleared volunteer. You can submit the required forms online.
