Student MUST turn 5 years old ON or BEFORE September 1, 2025.

Transitional Kindergarten- Students must turn 5 years old between September 2, 2025 and June 2, 2026

Welcome to John Muir Middle School Registration for the 2025-2026 school year! Here is the information for completing online registration/data confirmation and attending in-person registration.

Step 1: Create an Aeries Parent Portal Account (Please skip this step if you already have a Parent Portal Account for BUSD) In order to complete the online registration/data confirmation, you must have an Aeries Parent Portal Account. To create your parent portal account, go to   https://burbankusd.asp.aeries.net/student/loginparent.aspx?page=default.aspx

> click on the Aeries Parent/Student Portal box > click on “Create a new account.” Then, use the following information to create your parent account:

Student Name: «First_Name» «Last_Name»

Permanent ID: «Student_ID»

Verification Code: «VerifPasscode»

Home Phone: «Primary_Phone»

Step 2: Once you have created your Parent Portal Account and are logged into Aeries, go to the yellow bar at the top of the page and click on the hyperlink that says “Click Here” to complete the Online Registration/ Data Confirmation. You may complete this process beginning July 24^th and prior to the in-person registration.

The State of California requires all students in both private and public schools entering 7th grade to provide proof of receiving the Tdap booster, also known as the "whooping cough" vaccine, and a 2nd varicella, also known as the "chicken pox" vaccine.  If your student does not have one or both of the immunizations on file with our school's Health Office, please provide documentation as soon as possible to prevent delays with entry into 7th grade. 

You may email your documents to mariammanoukian@burbankusd.org or provide a hard copy to our school office.

In order to receive your student's packet for the 7th grade:

• The Health Office needs to have proof of a Tdap shot after 7 years old.
• Two Varicella vaccines and 
• If you have not provided proof, your child may not register for 7th grade.

If you are new to Burbank Unified School District, please follow the steps below to enroll your student:

1. Complete online enrollment at https://burbankusd.asp.aeries.net/AIR/
2. Scan and email, mail, or fax the following documents to mariaospina@burbankusd.org 
   1. Legal proof of age (birth certificate, passport, baptismal certificate – temporary)
   2. Proof of Residency (Utility Bill or “pink sheet” from BWP- temporary)
   3. Immunizations *
   4. Picture ID
   5. Current report card for elementary or transcript for secondary (entering grades 1-12)

Please scan and send the forms to mariaospina@burbankusd.org  If you cannot scan these documents, please feel free to take pictures of them and email those as attachments to Mrs. Ospina to the aforementioned email address. You may also contact her at 818 / 729-3800, ext 22855
